I finished two interviews for DVL in the last few days. Four more are to come in the next two weeks. And I'm planing to get back to daily business next week. So new shots coming up. Maybe with a new rule: Every video counts for two or three shots ;-)

231: DVL - THE INTRODUCTION
Here is the introduction video for my new project DVL, which is short for "Dream, Vision, Life". Check www.ismono.com/DVL for more info. Over the next few months I will interview a couple of people in order to create a short documentary film.
Last saturday I did the very first interview for this project with Julian Smith. Online probably next week. So stay tuned.
P.S.: If you're new to this blog and you're wondering why there aren't any daily pics right now: For this project I'm doing a little break from the "daily shots business". Daily shots coming back in a week.

230: MY NEW PROJECT: DVL
So what is the fuzz all about?
I believe that it's important to have an own vision and maybe a dream that you should at least try to fulfill. I'm always inspired by those who do follow their dreams, and certainly I am aware of the fact that the pursuit of those dreams can be risky and hard.
I always knew what fueled myself to do everything I've done, but I am interested in some more opinions regarding dreams and their relations to the real life. That's why I'm going to interview a couple of people over the next couple of months. The main target will be to create an inspiring short documentary, but over the time I will post the individual interviews on my page, of course.
The very first interview is going to be this saturday, and over the next two weeks four more are scheduled.
I prepared a website and an introduction video. Link and video will be posted here in the next days.

228: NO SHOT... A SHORT BREAK...
No new shot today or in the next couple of days... Sorry about that, but this is a quite busy month. I'm editing two musicvideos, one commercial and I'm preparing a new project, which I will go into detail a little later. So I spent more time in the editing room rather than holding a camera. Although I did a corporate shooting and to help my brother I'm going to shoot more than 60 people in one day. That's probably going to be quite a task. Maybe I'll do a behind the scenes for that one.
The musicvideos will be finished at the end of the month so hopefully I can shoot some more pics and show you the videos asap. Regarding the project: Short it's called DVL, and in the next days I will post some more informations, so stay tuned...
Anyway, please bear with me, the next one or two weeks, I'll just post sparely... And please excuse the mess. My home office is still in the making...

227: SHEEP PHOTOBOMB
It wasn't easy to get the sheep into the picture, especialy looking right into the camera.
I chose the wrong time of the day for this shot. It was almost 12 am therefore the shadows are quite harsh. But as I said that was one of my very first shootings and I didn't know any better.

225: SOMETHING FISHY (Rework)
A shot from 2007. That was one of my earlier shootings. Models, Location and crew were great, but I guess I must have seemed kinda green. Nevertheless some great shoots were made and I'm gonna do some rework on them soon.

220: THE LONELY GUARD
I was wandering around the city for quite awhile, because it was one of the very first warm and sunny days this year. I passed this guy a couple of times within an approx 2 to 3 hour time frame. And he was just standing there guarding that gate. Either it was the most boring or stupid job ever since he could have just closed the gate or whatever. Or he was chilling while all his coworkers worked there asses of on that construction site.

218: LEEMA @ NEIDKLUB (Video)
I took my almost new Nikon D5000 to party last Friday to check it's video and high ISO features. It works out quite well. Ok noise ist quite visible when you watch it at full resolution, but small like this it's more than just allright I think.
As I said I'm going to do some more projects with Leema soon. And this was just a short quick 'n dirty test I guess. I'm not trying to be a D.O.P. by the way, but if you've got a camera that can produce video, why shouldn't you use it, right?
Music: Lupe Fiasco - I gotcha
edit: You might need to let the video load first, it might stutter the first time watching...

216: LISA L.
Shot Lisa on Kodak with my Minox. If you're wondering what's that stuff around the picture: That's my carpet. You've probably already wondered with the polaroids. I don't own a scanner yet, therefore I gotta take a shot of the prints...

215: JENS & THE NEW WATERMARK
You've probably noticed that I changed the watermark quite a bit. I actually hate watermarks, copyrights etc. on pictures, but I can't help it: I'm too afraid of someone stealing my pictures. Ok, you could easily stamp the mark out in this example, but I guess it's better than right on his head or none at all.
And in addition to the "stealing part", I guess it's supposed to make a statement about who shot the pic.

214: LEA No. TWO
You might remember Lea from this shot. You have to love her smile. You rather rare see a smile in a Beauty shot, or some might say smiles in a portrait looked fake or acted. And that can be true, but I'm kinda pursuing a good feeling and a good vibe in pictures right now, I guess that is why I enjoyed working with people who aren't used to be shot and trying to get the most out of them (sometimes whilst doing stupid stuff.)

213: CHRISTIAN S.
I know Christian for quite a while now. He asked me for some Headshots, and this is just one of the more "fun" pictures rather than the serious and sophisticate ones.
