365: A YEAR WORTH OF POSTS
365 shots or posts ago I forged the plan to take a shot once a day and to post it on this blog in order to keep practicing and to keep learning. I kept shooting and I learned quite a lot, but I realized that it was easy to take a shot. Nevertheless it wasn't as good of a shot as I wished for. Moreover my main work as a film editor kept me quite busy as well. In other words posting good shots in a day to day interval was quite a task.
Therefore after these 365 shots I will rearrange goals, targets and / or topics of this blog. Right now I am thinking that the next step will be to reduce the quantity to 10 shots or posts each month. To my own shots, videos and thoughts I might also add and include inspirational shots that I find in the web or life.
I have to admit I haven't thought everything quite through yet...but stay tuned. Next DVL Episode is coming soon by the way.

I am going to take one shot every single day. Beauty, Fashion or just portrait. No matter if it's a snapshot or from a complete shooting, selfportrait, model or a friend, good or even bad shot, I will devote and commit myself to take (or at least just post) one shot a day.
This is being done by a lot of photographers, and therefore this is nothing special nor am I reinventing the wheel or anything. But that does not change the fact, that practice makes perfect, right?

My Mom and I on Kodak Color Film. I really need to buy a scanner, but on the other hand it would be pretty expensive in the long run to only shoot 35mm film. 35mm film looks awesome though.

228: NO SHOT... A SHORT BREAK...
No new shot today or in the next couple of days... Sorry about that, but this is a quite busy month. I'm editing two musicvideos, one commercial and I'm preparing a new project, which I will go into detail a little later. So I spent more time in the editing room rather than holding a camera. Although I did a corporate shooting and to help my brother I'm going to shoot more than 60 people in one day. That's probably going to be quite a task. Maybe I'll do a behind the scenes for that one.
The musicvideos will be finished at the end of the month so hopefully I can shoot some more pics and show you the videos asap. Regarding the project: Short it's called DVL, and in the next days I will post some more informations, so stay tuned...
Anyway, please bear with me, the next one or two weeks, I'll just post sparely... And please excuse the mess. My home office is still in the making...

My granddad was in the Indonesian army, and I think he went to safari quite often since he had quite a lot of stuff from dead animals. I do not approve of hunting and killing animals like that, but I do remember this picture quite well. I have no idea why...

That's my Mom, probably using a q-tip. My Mom is great as well as my Dad. Probably gave them a hard time when I was younger. I guess we all have had trouble with our parents, now it's all good. Thanks for everything, and I wish I could make your life a little easier some day...

Since yesterday was my birthday, I'll share some pics of my family and me. A little self-centered I know, but I loved my childhood. Guess everything is easier as a child.
This is my dad. He looks like Mr Miyagi nowadays. I wonder (or rather am affraid of the day) when I might start to loose some hair...
I belive that that picture was taken in Indonesia. Until I was 10 or 11 the whole family used to travel to Indonesia every summer, after that I guess life got a little harder and we weren't able to visit Indonesia anymore. At the age of 19 or 20 I was able to visit Indonesia again.
